General care for your Metly bottle.

Metly bottles are designed perfectly for cool filtered tap water on the go. To get the most out of your Metly bottle follow these simple instructions.

  1. Rinse all parts of the bottle (except the filter) with warm soapy water before first use
  2. Do not use soap on the filter
  3. Do not use with hot water
  4. Do not use to filter anything other than tap water
  5. Do not use with fizzy drinks
  6. Do not put in the dishwasher, microwave or freezer
  7. Do not cut open or tamper with the filter
  8. Do not use with water that is of an unknown quality (eg from a natural stream)

Using the filter for the first time

Follow these simple steps for pure water on the go

  1. Twist to unlock and remove blue filter case
  2. Remove the filter by pulling from the filter straw and dispose of the filter outer packaging
  3. Rinse the filter under running water for 10s. Once soaked through, push the filter back onto the base of the filter lid
  4. Replace the blue filter case and lock into place. You'll hear a click when it's secured
  5. Fill the bottle with tap water and screw on the bottle lid
